Steven Sutankayo
Founder & Lead Engineer — NovaConvert
Background
My work in technical architecture began at the silicon level. Seven years at Qualcomm as a Sr. Engineer leading verification and integration taught me optimization, precision, and the discipline of building systems that simply cannot fail.
I then moved from the hardware layer to full-stack product engineering, bridging complex backend systems and user-facing software. A parallel background in hands-on bookkeeping — manual transaction entry, reconciliation, and month-end close — sharpened my focus on data integrity and financial correctness, and directly shaped how NovaConvert is designed.
NovaConvert is the result: a reconciliation-aware ingestion pipeline where deterministic accounting invariants (balances, debits/credits) have the final vote over the AI, catching the silent extraction errors that conventional OCR and LLM pipelines ship to production.
Today I operate as an independent product engineer, leveraging AI-augmented workflows to build at the speed of a team with the focus of a single architect.
